Clinic Guidebook
Everything a clinic administrator needs to configure, run and troubleshoot Clinicon — module by module, in the order the system actually requires.
Thirty sections covering every module, in the order the system actually requires. Start at the top if you are setting up a new clinic; jump straight to a module if you are looking something up.

What Clinicon is
Clinicon is a clinic management platform. One tenant is one clinic: its patients, its staff, its appointments, its money. A clinic administrator can see and change everything in their clinic — and is the only person who can set up the things everyone else depends on.
The interface
Every screen shares the same frame: a grouped sidebar on one side, a top bar across the top, and a content area holding a page title with its primary action, stat cards, filters, and a table or board. Learn it once and the rest of the product is navigation.
Glossary
Setting up a new clinic
Clinicon's modules depend on each other, and the dependencies are not obvious from the interface. Fields sit empty and forms refuse to save until the thing they draw from exists. This sequence is the order the system actually requires — work down it and nothing blocks you.
Roles & permissions
Clinicon ships seven roles built from a catalogue of 62 permissions across 17 groups. You can edit any of them, or add your own, at Settings → Roles & Permissions. Changes save per role as you toggle them.
Daily work
Dashboard
The landing screen. It answers one question — what needs your attention this morning — and then hands off to the module that can do something about it.
Appointments
The booking engine and the day's running order. Four views sit behind one toolbar.
The daily queue
The queue turns the day's bookings into a running order the front desk can work. It is the screen a receptionist should have open all day.
Focus Mode
Focus Mode is where the consultation actually happens. It replaces the whole interface with a single screen holding the patient's history on one side, the note being written in the middle, and everything the doctor can order on the other — so a visit is completed without navigating anywhere. You enter it from an appointment record and leave it with End Consultation.
Patients
The patient register. Stat cards show Total Patients, Male, Female and New This Month; the list can be searched by name, MRN or phone and filtered by company. Columns: Medical Record Number · Name · Gender · Date of Birth · Email · Status · Actions, with View and Edit on each row.
Clinical
Prescriptions
Every prescription written in the clinic, whether it came out of a consultation or was written directly. Stat cards show Total, Active, Completed and Cancelled; the list is searchable and filterable by status.
Lab
Lab orders from creation to result. Orders arrive here from Focus Mode, from a patient record, or from New Lab Order in Quick Actions.
Imaging
Imaging requests and their findings. The same lifecycle as lab — Pending, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled — over a different order form.
External orders
Orders covers everything the patient buys that the clinic does not perform itself: spectacles, orthotics, hearing aids, outsourced tests, prosthetics. It is a commercial record rather than a clinical one, and it is where the money for those items is tracked.
Management
Staff
Everyone who works in the clinic, their role, their schedule and — for doctors — the services they offer. Two things configured here decide whether the appointment form works at all: the weekly schedule and the services list.
Billing
Invoices, payments and what is still owed. Stat cards show total revenue, collected, outstanding and the collection rate; the list filters by status and date range.
Inventory
Consumables, drugs and equipment, with stock levels, reorder points, suppliers and expiry dates. Stat cards show total items, low stock, out of stock and expiring soon.
Reports
The analytical view of the clinic, over a date range you choose rather than the dashboard's fixed windows. This — not the dashboard cards — is what you use for anything you will act on financially.
Workspace
Spaces
The physical rooms of the clinic: consultation rooms, treatment rooms, labs, imaging suites, waiting areas. Every space you create becomes an option in the room picker on appointments, lab orders and imaging orders — and those pickers stay empty until you do.
To Do
Internal task tracking — chase a result, call a patient back, order a part. Tasks carry a title, description, assignee, due date and priority, and the open and urgent counts feed the dashboard's Tasks card.
Medical network
Your directory of everyone outside the clinic you work with: referring physicians, specialist consultants, external laboratories, imaging centres, pharmacies and suppliers. Each contact carries a specialty or service, contact details and notes.
Shared resources
A shared library for documents the whole clinic needs: consent forms, protocols, patient information sheets, policies, price lists. Upload once, and everyone with view permission works from the current version instead of a copy on someone's desktop.
Configuration
Settings overview
Settings is the control room, and almost every "why is this dropdown empty?" question in the product is answered here. It is organised into four areas.
Clinic, branches & lookups
Name, licence number, specialty, tax ID, address and contact details — the identity that appears on printed documents. Two fields here govern the whole system: Timezone decides how every appointment time is interpreted, and Currency decides how every amount is read. Set both before you enter any data.
Appearance & notifications
Light or dark theme, and the interface language. Both mirror the controls in the top bar; setting them here gives new staff a sensible default.
Clinical tools
Four pages that decide how much typing a doctor does per consultation. Doctors can edit these themselves — they are the only Settings pages the Doctor role reaches.
Security & roles
Covered in full under Roles & permissions. In short: seven roles, 62 permissions, edited by toggle, saved per role as you go.
My Profile
Your own account, reachable from the bottom of the sidebar. Update your name, photograph, contact details and password, and set your personal theme and language preference.
