Consumables, drugs and equipment, with stock levels, reorder points, suppliers and expiry dates. Stat cards show total items, low stock, out of stock and expiring soon.
The item form will not save without a store. Create your storage locations in Settings → Inventory Stores before adding a single item.
Adding an item
- 1Click Add Item.
- 2Enter the name, category and SKU or code.
- 3Choose the store it lives in.
- 4Set the unit of measure and the opening quantity.
- 5Enter the unit cost in piastres — 100 piastres to the pound. An item costing EGP 12.50 is entered as 1250.
- 6Set the reorder level. When stock falls below it the item appears in low stock and on the dashboard's Inventory card.
- 7Add the supplier and the expiry date where relevant.
- 8Save.
Keeping counts honest
Stock moves out of the system in two ways: recorded against a visit through the Resources tile in Focus Mode, or adjusted manually here. The first is what you want. A clinic that never records consumables in Focus Mode will have accurate purchasing records and fantasy stock levels.
Suppliers are managed from the same module and carry contact details and lead times, so a low-stock item tells you who to call.
