Imaging requests and their findings. The same lifecycle as lab — Pending, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled — over a different order form.

Raising a request

1. 1Click New Imaging, or add it to the session from Focus Mode.
2. 2Choose the patient and the requesting doctor.
3. 3Pick the modality: X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography or PET Scan.
4. 4Enter the body part and set laterality — N/A, Left, Right or Bilateral. Getting laterality right here is what prevents the wrong side being imaged.
5. 5Set the priority and write the clinical indication. Radiologists read the indication before the request, so make it a sentence, not a word.
6. 6Optionally assign a room, then save.

Reporting

Open the order and enter the findings and impression, attaching images or a PDF report. Once completed, the study surfaces on the patient's Imaging tab and on the Focus Mode rail under recent imaging, with its findings visible without opening the order.
