Appearance

Light or dark theme, and the interface language. Both mirror the controls in the top bar; setting them here gives new staff a sensible default.

Notifications

Which events send an SMS or an email, and when. Configure three things:

  • Channels — SMS, email, or both, per event type: appointment booked, appointment reminder, result ready, invoice issued.
  • Reminder lead time — how far ahead of an appointment the reminder goes out. Twenty-four hours is the usual choice; a second reminder two hours before cuts no-shows further.
  • Quiet hours — a window in which nothing is sent, so a 3 a.m. reminder never reaches a patient.

Notifications depend on the phone number and email on the patient record. If reminders are not arriving, check the patient's contact details before checking the settings.
