| Term | Meaning in Clinicon |

| Tenant | One clinic's private world. An account administers one tenant; the clinic switcher at the top of the sidebar moves between them where there is more than one. |
| MRN | Medical Record Number — the patient's permanent identifier, generated on registration. It is the safest thing to search by. |
| Case | A clinical thread that outlives a single visit — an episode of care. Appointments, notes and orders can be attached to a case so a course of treatment reads as one story. Types: General and Episode. |
| Service | A billable thing a specific doctor offers, with a price and a duration. Services belong to the doctor, not to a clinic-wide catalogue. |
| Session | One consultation, run in Focus Mode. Orders created during it are session orders. |
| SOAP | The clinical note format: Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan. |
| Ticket | A patient's place in the day's queue. Issued by reservation or as a walk-in. |
| Piastres | Egypt's minor currency unit; 100 piastres = EGP 1. Inventory unit cost is entered in piastres. Everything else is entered in pounds. |
